Me

Hi, my name is Kira, and I’m a twenty-something Divinity school student. I’m a postulant for ordination in the Episcopal Church and am married to a doctor. This will hopefully be a place for me to share my thoughts, sermons, and opinions on various topics around ministry, faith, and Christianity as I experience it.

I currently live in Nashville, TN but grew up in Dallas, TX. From there I went to boarding school in northern Michigan and then college in Houston. My college degree is in vocal performance, and I used to think that I would be an opera singer some day.

I’m also a mom to two precious Ragdoll kittens: Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington. They bring an immense amount of joy and love into my life.

In short, I’m a white, upper-middle-class, straight, highly-educated female trying to figure out how to bring the Good News to those who suffer in ways that I could never imagine.
